Shihan Gail Anderson, 5th Dan
Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate

Sensei Gail Anderson commenced training in 1984 in Australia.  She relocated to Dunedin New Zealand in 1993.     

Gail has trained in dojos  throughout the world.  From 1993 - 1996 she successfully competed at national level and international level.  Her most recent overseas training trip was to Okinawa in October 2024.

Taieri Dojo was established in June 2020 and Gail Sensei is focused on inspiring  others to follow the path of traditional karate.  Her goal is to make karate training accessible to all and help people to move forward in challenging times.
Taieri Traditional Karate Centre are happy to be affiliated to Okinawakan New Zealand with a network of great Okinawan Goju Practitioners here in New Zealand and around the world.
